it’s really better to put up an e-commerce website for your company since all info about your company will be included in the website and you can also put the offers there..
blogging is just a sum of opinions in forums….
Blogging is for talking about certain news/updates that you find interesting and people reply to it. A website can basically be considered anything.

A blog is a piece of software that provides (mostly) standard functions for a “one-to-many conversation”. Using a blog you can discuss one (or a few closely related) subjects with your readers.
A blog offers functions for archiving your posts (articles) by month/year. It also has functions for allowing readers to leave comments (if you want that to happen). Such comments can give you insights into what your readers think etc.
A website on the other hand can be more customised to your company’s requirements. Depending on what your company does, it could offer ecommerce facilities.
Or it could just be a way of marketing your company and its services, collecting leads and prospects and turning them into customers offline.
Without knowing exactly what your company does, nobody can realistically give you valid advice about which to use.
Just note that many companies have a website but also have a blog to engage their prospects into a conversation, then into a relationship and then into doing business with them.
Given your qustion, I suggest you need to learn a lot more about your options before you jump on one or the other. Many people have mde that mistake and after wasting a year or two with little or no results they then either give up or turn to experts for help.
My suggestion for your next step is to work out what it is you want an online presence to achieve for your business. Then create a strategy for getting there and then create tasks to achive your strategy.
Oh and you need to either read a few ebooks on the subject (time cosuming when you have business to run) or use expert advice (fast but costs a little or a lot depending on your plans).
Good luck
