cj asked:
I want to start a website that is nothing but blogging. How much will this cost and how do i get started with this?
I want to have a whole site where i am the administrator and everyone who wants to blog can. I want a site like blogger. I have a different twist to it that i do not want to tell because it will be used before i can.
Any thoughts on copyrighting an idea alone.

They call that myspace.
Costly.
I believe you may need to build a server or turn a computer into one by puting a sever operating system such as linux. I would also sugjest getting a dumies guid I use them all the time for all my computer needs. The cost depends on how powerful you want your server to be and if you get the dumies guid on sale. I am saying this becuase I have built a small server but not for blogging.
Depending on your provider you go with, you need:
1. Web Hosting site
2. Blogging Software
Generally, the blogging software can be found for free on the net. And if you a address you generally pay for that right, and then for the company to actually run your site. Unless your ISP offers a free site under your internet package.
Otherwise, try or which will allow you to sign up and blog then other people can join by themselves.
your best best is called “wordpress” don’t even bother with blogger since it’s features are limited and u don’t have any control over it, 7-8 to register a name, and 10 bux a month to host it, so register a good name that targets your topic and find a host like hostgator or something and u might as well try 2 make some money while blogging as well with adsense or something, if u need further reference on that check out good luck
If you are intending to allow only the users of your blog to be able to write in your blog, you can look out for the possibility to assign author status by default to new users who register ….
Host a web site, install a blog software like wordpress which is free… and ensure that setting… you are done.
However, if it is something like blogger that you are intending to make, you need to deal with issues like automatic creation of urls for new users etc., which require you to know programming ………….
